Just recently, GoDaddy hosting did file for an IPO, and they plan on using some of the funds from the IPO to get some of their debts paid off. They do plan on using some of the money for corporate purposes, in addition, as well.

GoDaddy did file its regulatory filing, and when they did this, they did indicate that such things as the number of shares they plan to offer hasn't been determined. Nonetheless, this company did mention to, they plan on trying to raise some money in the vicinity of up to $100 million dollars. They did comment that this sum was just the placeholder amount. This amount was something that was subject to change.

GoDaddy Hosting is based in Arizona and it provides a wide variety of products and services that people do need for the Internet world. Some of these products and services are no other than domain registration and web hosting plans. This company has listed Citigroup and J.P. Morgan as the official underwriters for their offering.

This company has been in business for 17 years now. They did recently gain a lot of attention to themselves by coming up with some very edgy commercials that did have scantily dressed women in them. They did report a loss of close to $200 million dollars for the year of 2013. Their revenue did rise up though by an amazing 24%.

Straight up to March 31st, GoDaddy did report a total booking sum of $438.5 million dollars and had close to 12 million registered customers with them.

The founder of the company is named Bob Parsons. His investment group owns about a little more than 28% of the company's Class A stock. This information is contained in the filing that was made for the company.

In 2011, GoDaddy was acquired for a whooping sum of $2.25 billion by KKR Co. Silver Lake. Today, they now only own, roughly about 28% of the company itself.

Candy Crush Saga, the gaming phenomenon, is about to go to the New York Stock Exchange in the form of a stock offering. The IPO paperwork was submitted to the Securities Exchange Commission by King Digital Entertainment.

Over the last three years King Digital Entertainment has made millions of dollars, and this is thanks to games such as Papa Pear Saga, Farm Heroes Saga and Pet Rescue Saga.

Users of the Candy Crush app has made it the most popular app associated with the website Facebook. Candy Crush is expected to become the largest, as well as the most successful interactive online franchises of all time.

There are frequent, small transactions that help make Candy Crush a major success. Gaming sessions are played individually, and they are designed to be quick and free. However, if players want to receive additional lives, as well as be able to beat levels quicker, then they can pay a small fee to receive an item within the game, and this item will help them move quicker throughout the game. Users can choose to play Candy Crush whenever they want to, as the game provides that convenience. The best thing about Candy Crush is that it does not show any signs of losing popularity.

Burger King Rises as McDonalds Fails

In the last quarter it was shown in a recent quarterly report that Burger King (BKC) performed better in sales than rival McDonald's.

BKC executives did not reveal whether the higher restaurant sales, along with new customers transferring business from McDonald's or other fast food restaurants were the reasons for this change.

CFO, Daniel Schwartz announced that they are expecting to maintain their share of business growth and indeed, sales have continued to rise during the month of October.

One strategic change in operations is the value menu which focuses on making food affordable for families. Promotions such as the barbecue menu have also attracted many new customers over the past summer.

This fast food restaurant has made a point of attracting elderly and senior customers, both men and women. Offering salads, wraps and smoothies which are popular menu items for these demographics.

This fast food business has traditionally been known to be mainly popular with young males, 20-26. Making changes to the menu, gearing it toward the McDonald's style gives them a wider range of customers to sell to.

Earnings for Burger King went up by seventeen cents a share, exceeding the fifteen cents analysts had predicted for the period.

In June, the company paid out a quarterly dividend at four cents per share.

Burger King was a private company before it was purchased for more than three billion dollars by 3G Capital Management in Brazil.

A shell company, Justice Holdings, acquired BKC via a reverse merger and then the company went public through an IPO.

Last summer, the shares became available on the market first at $14.50. Last Friday the share price went to $14.95. Because of Hurricane Sandy, the NYSE was closed on Monday and Tuesday.
